The Ely Computer Centre is run by Barbell Computing. This is an inspiring story of a man following his passion and realizing his lifelong dream.

Scott Colling, the Managing Director, started his career in a humble computer sales and repair shop in Cambridge. He then went on to become a Microsoft Architect, working for renowned IT companies, and collaborating with household names daily.

Now, his hard-earned experience has empowered him to open his very own computer sales and repair business, with his shop in the centre of Ely at 1B Lynn Road.

This is a testament to the power of perseverance and hard work, and we look forward to hearing more about this exciting venture. Here’s to following your passion, trusting your journey, and watching your dreams come true.

That evening, I received an email with 3 different laptops that could be purchased directly from the manufacturer at a cheaper price than going through a retailer. One I received the new laptop, Scott transferred all my data from my old laptop to my new one and took the old hard drive out & gave the old unit & hard drive back to me, all within a week. Scott is very knowledgeable and doesn't try to fob you off with expensive replacements or get money from you trying to repair a broken unit. Highly recommend this very pleasant and nice bloke.
